The two relics I got which is super important were the Torii and Tungsten Rod, any damage under 5 or life loss is completely nullified. Other cards I had were the strike and defend, bash (barely ever used it) and curse of the bell Intimidate x1 : Weakness to enemies and an exhaust for 0
#Slay the spire apparition free#
Rage x2 : adds block when attacking so Juggernaut adding 7 damage as well as the 3 block you getīloodletting x1 : Free mana as my relics negated the damageĮxhume x1 : Great card to have in hand if you need another apparition that has been exhaustedīrutality+ x1 : Get 1 extra card per turn and life lost negated by relicsĮvolve+ x1 : For fights where status cards are added, this negates those by adding 2 more cards

Metallicize+ : Little bit of block and damage with Juggernautīerserk : Gave me a little bit more energy - apparition takes care of the vulnerable effect Juggernaut+ : Deals 7 damage whenever you gain block, so once you have most of the above flowing the damage output just takes off, before I got Body Slam late in Act 3 this was my main damage output Entrench+ x1 : Obviously this for raising block to ridiculous levels (I also picked this up just before the final boss).Sever Soul+ x1 : Does some damage and good for getting rid of curses, statuses etcĪpparition x 5: It can take a number of turns to get everything set up and damage flowing, these will negate damage those first few turnsīody Slam+ x1 : This card is essential for the Heart fight, can get away without it in other fights (I picked this up just before the final boss) Second Wind x1 : Great for building defense when exhausting cards and good for getting rid of curses, statuses etc

I ended up with an Exhaust / Block deck, the absolute key cards were:īarricade+ x1 : crucial you keep your block each turnįeel no pain x2 : Great for building defense when exhausting cards Tried many builds but could never pull them off, the cards and relics you get are definitely luck based so just gotta keep plodding away. I've been trying over and over and over to beat the heart with Ironclad and finally managed so adding some tips for others struggling. I'm having a blast with this game, a real gem, my youngest son even loved watching me so ended up buying it so he could play it
